Project Description: Demolition of existing pedestrian mall, 2 phase renovations and construction of a new pedestrian mall including crescent seating, site, hardscape, milestone road structure, raised planters, seat walls, benches, tables, fountain, statue, sundial, pedestrian walkways ( interlocking pavers and concrete) landscaping, irrigation, lighting, site furniture, and way finding signage.

Challenges and Opportunities: This project has been very challenging due to all the unforeseen conditions and a very tight summer schedule. Working with a very tight schedule to complete phase one by the first day of school was a challenge but achieved. With the great team work between the owner, construction manager, SMC Construction, and all the subcontractors on this project we had phase 1 of the mall open on the first day of school.
